The Still Morning and the Messenger

The sun borrowed a raven’s wing and cut through the leftover storm clouds to peak at the work the night had done.

A pause in the heat of summer transformed the heavy air into a celebration as birds danced in puddles and leaves left full of rain glistened and whispered back and forth about what the raven said

I am giving you a message that you will understand

A map of an ending and a beginning

The skies tell me stories and so I bring them to you

You have waited for this, know it or not

And now you must let go
